FAQ

Do you accept insurance?
No, Neurility Physical Therapy, Inc. does not accept any insurance plan, whether it be a PPO, HMO, or Medicare plan. Whenever we work together, Neurility can provide you with a receipt that you can submit back to your insurance company if you, as an individual on your plan, have any out of network benefits. It is up to you as the patient to find out this information and submit your receipts for reimbursement.

Why do you not accept insurance?
Neurility Physical Therapy, Inc. does not accept insurance to support both the patient and protect us as clinicians. I want to be able to provide the most optimal care that is not constrained by insurance companies. Additionally, I want you as the patient and consumer to get exactly what you want out of your rehabilitation process, not be limited by the number of visits, and have specialized care.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?
California law allows an individual to seek direct care from a licensed physical therapist, without a formal medical diagnosis, for a maximum of 45 calendar days or 12 visits, which comes first. Therefore, if you are seeking out my rehabilitation services without seeing a Medical Doctor first and without a diagnosis, the above are our limitations. After 45 calendar days or 12 visits, you will need to return to your/a physician and receive a signed plan of care to continue with my our rehabilitation plan at Neurility Physical Therapy Inc. If you have a medical diagnosis from a Medical Doctor prior to beginning therapy with Neurility Physical Therapy Inc., these time constraints are not applicable.

How many sessions do we work together for?
Each patient is different and the answer to this question will vary. It will depend on how much current or previous physical therapy a patient has received throughout their course of rehabilitation, patient’s goals, and ultimately a patient’s progress. I want to assist you in achieving your mobility goals, but I will not recommend we work together if I do not think these goals are feasible and realistic. Additionally, if we are working together and your progress is not as evident as we’d like, we can scale back our treatments if needed.

Should I see come to Neurility Physical Therapy, Inc. instead of using my insurance benefits?
Neurility Physical Therapy, Inc. does not accept any insurance and therefore will not be the best option for all patients to foster their rehabilitation. I encourage my patients to use their insurance plan for as much as it will allow and if it is working for them and their rehabilitation needs. If your insurance plan is limiting you in any way or you are seeking other services, I am here to help.

Can I have a family or friend there for my session?
I encourage family, friends and caregivers to be present and active participants during my sessions. They are as much a part of your rehabilitation process as your therapists and you are. They can be a wonderful support system and a vital process to making the most out of your therapy.
